About Examtro

Examtro exists to make high-quality NEET and JEE preparation accessible to every aspirant in India — regardless of geography, income, or access to coaching.

Our Mission

Examtro was founded with a simple conviction: the quality of a student's exam preparation should never be decided by their family's income, their postal code, or whether they can afford a coaching institute that charges lakhs of rupees a year. In India today, serious NEET and JEE aspirants outside major metro cities are at a structural disadvantage. High-quality previous year question papers are scattered across PDFs, Telegram groups, and pirated books. Answer keys are inconsistent, solutions are missing, and chapter-wise practice is largely a privilege of paid platforms.

Our mission is to close that gap. We consolidate every previous year question (PYQ) from NEET and JEE into a single, free, searchable database; pair each question with a verified answer key and a step-by-step solution; and wrap it in tools that let aspirants generate custom mock tests, track chapter-level analytics, and revise weak topics efficiently. Whether a student is in a tier-1 city with a coaching slot or in a village with a single shared smartphone, Examtro gives them the same practice material and the same analytics — completely free.

What We Offer

Examtro's platform is built around three pillars: a verified question bank, a flexible test generator, and analytics that turn practice into measurable progress.

The question bank currently holds over 29,000 verified PYQs — 20,183 NEET questions across Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, and 8,735 JEE questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Every question is tagged by subject, chapter, difficulty, year, and (for JEE) tier — Mains or Advanced — so aspirants can target the exact slice of the syllabus they want to practice.

The test generator lets users build custom mock tests with chapter-level granularity: choose subjects, select specific chapters, set difficulty (easy / medium / hard / random), pick the number of questions, and filter by PYQ year range. Tests are scored instantly, with a step-by-step solution attached to every question so students can understand the reasoning, not just the final answer.

On top of that, smart analytics surface weak chapters and subject-level trends over time; bookmarks let students save questions for revision; and JEE Mains / Advanced tier filtering ensures engineering aspirants practice the right type of questions for their target exam.

When We Started

Examtro was founded in 2026 by a small team that had watched the gap between expensive coaching and free online resources widen for years. Aspirants were either paying tens of thousands of rupees for chapter-wise PYQ practice and analytics, or cobbling together PDFs and screenshots from Telegram groups with no answer keys and no way to track progress.

The site went live in July 2026 with an initial question bank covering Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology for NEET, and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for JEE. The founding goal was modest: prove that a free platform could match or exceed the practice experience of a paid test series. Today, Examtro serves thousands of aspirants every month across India.

Who We Are

Examtro was founded in 2026 by an independent team of developers and education enthusiasts based in Delhi, India, who have spent years building web tools for Indian students. The founding team leads product and engineering, and is responsible for the platform's test generator, analytics engine, and the data pipeline that ingests and tags new previous year questions as official question papers are released.

The wider team includes former NEET and JEE aspirants who cleared the exams themselves and now help shape the platform's practice workflow — choosing which chapters deserve more PYQ coverage, validating difficulty tags, and flagging questions that no longer match the latest syllabus. Subject educators with years of classroom teaching experience write and review our step-by-step solutions, ensuring each one explains the underlying concept rather than just stating the answer.

Together, the team operates remotely across India — engineers in Bangalore, content reviewers in Patna and Kota, and educators who have taught NEET and JEE aspirants for years. We are not a large company, and that is intentional: every person working on Examtro has either taken these exams, taught students who have, or built software for the Indian education system.

How We Verify Content

Trust is the single most important asset for a free education platform, and we treat answer-key accuracy as the foundation of that trust. Here is how every question on Examtro is sourced, verified, and maintained:

  • Sourcing. Every PYQ on Examtro is drawn from publicly available previous year question papers published by NTA, CBSE, and the respective exam conducting bodies. We do not invent questions or rephrase official questions in ways that change their meaning. Each question retains its original subject, chapter, year, and tier tagging.
  • Answer-key verification. Each question's correct answer is cross-referenced against multiple independent sources — official answer keys where available, established subject reference books, and the consensus of our subject educators. When sources disagree, the question is flagged for manual review and the answer is held until a clear, defensible resolution is reached.
  • User reports. Every question has a "Report a problem" button. When a user flags a question — for a wrong answer, an out-of-syllabus topic, a typo, or a broken image — the question is automatically excluded from future generated tests until a reviewer resolves the report. This means our question bank gets cleaner every single day.
  • Solutions. Step-by-step solutions are written by subject educators with years of teaching experience and reviewed before publishing. Each solution walks through the reasoning from first principles to the final answer, so students learn the underlying concept rather than memorising a result.
  • Syllabus alignment. When NTA or the relevant body updates the NEET or JEE syllabus, we re-tag affected questions and remove or re-classify those that no longer match the latest blueprint.

Our Commitment

Examtro is and will remain 100% free. There is no premium tier, no paywall, no credit card required, and no "pro" version locked behind a subscription. Every feature — the full PYQ bank, the test generator, analytics, bookmarks, and detailed solutions — is available to every user from the moment they sign in. We respect user data and do not sell it. Examtro is an independent platform and is not affiliated with NTA, NEET, JEE, CBSE, or any government body — we simply organize and present publicly available previous year questions in a way that helps aspirants prepare.
